These cygnets are only a couple of days old. I would have liked to get closer but Papa Swan was hovering nearby and I didn't want to incur his displeasure.

The cygnets are starting to look like gawky teenagers.

Hey, it's more than a week since I last posted a photo of the cygnets. Photographing the cygnets is always an interesting exercise - trying to get close enough to get a good photo but not so close that I incur the wrath of the papa swan.

The cygnets have grown a lot since I last saw them, even though it wasn't very long ago.

I've been puzzled recently to see only one swan on the pond - I thought they always went in pairs. Today the other swan appeared, with her brood of cygnets following behind. And they came close enough for me to photograph them.
