It was a surprise to see a familiar bottlebrush in the unfamiliar surroundings of Sharm El Sheik. The plants were probably chosen for their ability to tolerate the hot, dry conditions of the Sinai region.

292. Early morning traffic - Cairo

This photo was taken in the early morning while the streets were quiet but, even during the busiest part of the day, Cairo's traffic included horse-drawn vehicles, donkey carts and cyclists, as well as a vast array of motorised traffic.
