We have had over 200mm of rain in the past week. In fact, by 8am on 1 March, we had received the average rainfall for the month - and there's been a lot more since. We went out for a walk this afternoon when it stopped raining and found lots of interesting mushrooms/toadstools (I can't remember the difference between them).

I noticed this fabric poppy next to the footpath when I went for a walk.

 These beautiful roses are in our front garden.

Sydney

Photios Bros, in Druitt St, is a very small, very old-fashioned bead shop. Not for them the array of beads displayed on shelves around the shops. Instead, the beads are kept in brown boxes. Customers look through sample boxes to make their selection. My only disappointment with the shop is that I expect it to be staffed by gruff, grey-haired men wearing grey dust coats, but the assistants are young, friendly females.

Adventure with Emma

Emma and I went into Civic by bus and rode on the merry-go-round.

Emma was very excited waiting for the bus.

And she enjoyed the trip.

We rode on the elephant on the merry-go-round.

And then Emma explored some of the artwork in Civic.

Unexpected visitor

I nearly trod on this little chap when I went to check the letter box recently.
